LLF features the following classrooms, based on age of the child and the needs of the particular child.
LLF is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on days that NASA is open for business.
The teacher/student ratio varies based on the classroom and the age-group of the children in the particular classroom. All classrooms maintain a teacher/student ratio which is well below the minimum guidelines set by the state of Ohio (see page 40 of State of Ohio document).

Each child must be signed in and out every day in the sign-in book located in each classroom. No child will be released to any person other than their parent, without written authorization. Parental Permission Form
The full Health Policy is located in the Parent Handbook under "Communicable Disease Policy." A few of the most common reasons your child is sent home is as follows:
Vomiting
Temperature of 100 F (under the arm)
Diarrhea
Teary or inflamed eyes
Untreated Infected skin patches
Your child may return back to LLF if you:
Choose to take your child to the doctor and if the doctor states in a note that your child is not ill and is not contagious, your child can return immediately.
Choose to take your child to the doctor and if the doctor states that your child is ill and is put on medication, we must follow LLF policy by which the child must be on medication (Request for Administration of Medication Form) for at least 24 hours before returning.
Keep your child home until he/she is symptom-free for 24 hours.

LLF provides a breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack each day.
Parents are free to have lunch with their child - please inform the kitchen staff in advance and make arrangements.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Lunch is served at 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Snack is served at 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The children take daily naps in all rooms except for Summer Camp. It is necessary for each child to have his/hear own blanket and pillow. These should be taken home each Friday for laundering. If the child wishes, he/she may bring their one favorite stuffed animal or sleepy time friend.
Children should have at least one change of clothing at school. During winter, they should have boots, snow pants, hats and gloves for outdoor play. ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING SHOULD BE LABELED.
Each child is may have his/her own bottle of sunscreen lotion. During the warm sunny months, suntan lotion will be applied to exposed parts of the child's body.
Parents are free to visit whenever they wish and are welcome to have breakfast and lunch with your child.
Non-parents must register in the Main Office before visiting. All non-badged employees need to clear security at the NASA Glenn gates to visit their child.
