Staff Appreciation Committee

The purpose of the Staff Appreciation committee is to organize events and activities for the LLF staff and teachers.

We are a group of five volunteers lead by a member of the board of directors. We have several events throughout the year to recognize and honor those whom serve our children. Some of the items we do include a "welcome back" breakfast in the fall, birthday acknowledgements with small gifts, a "winter warm up", and exciting events for Teacher appreciation week. Our committee welcomes all suggestions and is always grateful for parents who are willing to join our effort for one event or another. You can contact the Staff Appreciation Chair at sac@lewislittlefolks.org.

Facilities and Infrastructure Committee

The facilities committee's purpose is to address any issues that may arise with the physical structure and immediate surroundings of LLF.

This involves working with NASA Glenn representatives to ensure issues that are the responsibility of the Government under the Space Act Agreement are resolved in a timely manner. We also work to analyze various options for facility improvements, including obtaining fee-based services and volunteers. Recently, we have begun to reach out to local Scout troops to provide volunteer opportunities for service hours and opportunities for boy scouts to complete Eagle Scout projects at LLF.

Fundraising Committee

There is hereby established a committee of the Board of Trustees called the Fundraising Committee, which shall consist of at least three (3) persons, including at least one (1) Trustee. The Trustee shall serve as the chair of the Fundraising Committee. The members of the Fundraising Committee shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. The Fundraising Committee shall organize such fundraisers as it deems necessary and/or appropriate for LLF, make recommendations to the Board as to the use of the money earned from such fundraisers, and shall be responsible for such other duties as delegated by the Board of Trustees. Any monies earned as a result of any fundraiser organized by the Fundraising Committee shall be corporate assets and subject to standard operating procedures and budget of the Corporation (Section 3.5 of LLF By-laws).
